The Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public’s help in locating 23-year-old Danielle Marie Germaine, missing from Pompano Beach.Germaine was last seen around 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15, near the 1000 block of Northeast 25th Avenue in Pompano Beach. Germaine is described as standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a nose piercing, Germaine is known to have medical conditions that require medication.Anyone with information on Germaine’s whereabouts should contact BSO Detective Leonard Charla at 954-321-4274 or the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-HELP (4357).Man airlifted to hospital after being struck by train in Hialeah

A man was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a train in Hialeah.7Skyforce hovered over the scene, located in the vicinity of East Fourth Avenue and 22nd Street, around 4:30 p.m., Thursday, where the train was seen at a standstill. The man was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Ryder Trauma Center. His condition is unknown at this time. As a result of the accident, East Fourth Avenue is closed in both directions. A South Florida jewelry store was damaged after suspected burglars crashed into it.7News cameras on Thursday captured crews boarding up the front of International Jewelers Exchange, located at 19275 Biscayne Blvd.Security at the jewelry store told 7News that that suspects used a stolen flatbed truck to drive through the front of the store. “They backed the flatbed into the area where you see it’s all boarded up, backed in through the store,” said Tony Austin, head of security. According to Aventura Police, a call came in at 6:14 a.m. in regards to an attempted burglary. A chaotic chain of events in Florida City left a driver dead and left one person injured, police said.Miami-Dade Police units arrived at the scene of a rollover crash in the River Oaks townhome community, near Southwest 336th Street and 180th Avenue, Thursday afternoon.According to investigators an officer with MDPD Robbery Intervention Detail was at a nearby gas station and attempted to speak with the driver for an unknown reason.Police said the driver slammed the door of his car and fled, in the process striking a female victim in the parking lot. Authorities say an elderly woman was struck and killed in Malden while trying to cross a street.Malden Police Chief Glenn Cronin said the pedestrian was struck at the intersection of Mountain Avenue and Main Street in a crash that involved two vehicles on Thursday.According to Malden PD, a preliminary investigation found a BMW SUV had been traveling south on Main Street when it collided with another SUV that had stopped at the traffic light.“The BMW ultimately traveled off the roadway striking two telephone poles before fatally striking an adult female who was standing on sidewalk,” a news release from the department stated. “The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.”According to officials, the victim had just picked up groceries when she was hit, with food items and a crushed grocery cart visible at the scene. A bomb squad was called to an address in Newburyport on Thursday after authorities say a box of “what may be pipe bombs” was found.According to the Newburyport Police Department, a box containing four of what were possibly pipe bombs was found at a home under construction on Purchase Street around 2 p.m.Officials said contractors working at the address made the discovery and, per both the police and fire departments, no one had been living at the address at the time. They also noted the property’s owner was not aware of the box before it was found.Police told 7NEWS there was no threat to the public as authorities continued to investigate. Officials in Peabody are calling for a statewide crackdown on drivers who blow by stopped school buses after a city pilot program examining the problem yielded jaw-dropping results.The city of Peabody started the pilot program in September.
